Thigh Lift
A thigh lift is performed to elevate the lateral or side of the thigh to streamline
the profile of the leg. It can be combined with a tummy tuck and/or a buttock
lift. A more extensive procedure called a torsoplasty also includes a thigh
lift. Since each patients needs and desires are different, Dr. Siegel
can evaluate and address your individual needs during your private consutation.
During this procedure, an incision is placed on the hip in the bikini line,
and the length depends on the amount of lift needed. Liposuction of the lateral
thigh is performed to straighten the leg.
A thigh lift can usually be done in our outpatient surgery center. General
anesthesia is used and administrated by our licensed M.D. or CRNA, in our
fully accredited operating suite. It can be done as an outpatient procedure,
and you go home with a family or friend who can help you recover for the next
24 hours. Patients wear a support garment for at least 2 weeks after surgery
and usually return to work and normal activity in 10 days to 2 weeks. Optimal
results help you achieve a slimmer profile in a swimsuit or shorts.
