Eyelid Surgery-(Blepharoplasty)

The surgery on the eyelids is called Blepharoplasty, and is performed to remove excess fat and skin, and to tighten muscle from the upper and lower eyelid. A good first procedure to regain your youthfull appearance is eyelid surgery. Your eyes are the first feature that people look at when speaking to you and can show age or illness. Due to the excellent circulation, a blepharoplasty is a quick recovery procedure. We send you home with a silicane mask that is cool and soothing to help reduce swelling and ease tightness around the eyes.

Eyelid surgery  can correct drooping upper lids and puffy bags below your eyes - features that make you look older and more tired than you feel, and may even interfere with your vision. However, it won't remove crow's feet or other wrinkles, eliminate dark circles under your eyes, or lift sagging brows. If these are issues of concern, Dr. Siegel can recommend products to improve these areas. While it can add an upper eyelid crease to Asian eyes, it will not erase evidence of your ethnic or racial heritage. Blepharoplasty can be done alone, or in conjuction with other facial surgery procedures such as facelift or browlift.
