Forehead Lift
A forehead lift can reduce the signs of aging in the upper face. Aging of
the face can be shown by the eyebrows descending and giving the look of scowling
or angered expression. A brow lift refreshes the upper face by raising the
brows and opening up the look of the eyes.
This procedure is done endoscopically with three small incisions in the scalp
which are easily hidden in the hairline. The muscles between the eyes (known
as the Glabellar area) are weakened, which reduces frown lines. A fixation
device holds the brow in it's elevated position. General anesthesia is usually
used for this procedure, but IV sedation is an alternative. Recovery is usually
2-3 days. Bruising and swelling are minimal with the use of a head wrap.
