Arm Lift - Brachioplasty
Upper arm lift can help patients that have lost the elasticity to the skin,
or those that have had large weight loss. The skin from the elbow to the axilla
(often referred to as Bat wings) can be excised and the profile of the upper
arm tailored for a thinner appearance. The exchange for hanging skin is a
long incision that is hidden when the arm is at rest by the side, but
may be visible when the arm is extended and turned. This procedure can be
done as an outpatient in our private accredited surgery center. The recovery
time is usually 2 weeks for full arm motion.
